Sometimes poets play guitars. Today’s poem is a Jack Johnson song. His music is known for being catchy and upbeat, but the lyrics are often thoughtful social commentary. I like how Johnson can be relevant and poignant without being angry or preachy. I wanted to share the lyrics to his song “Good People” here, but lyrics are protected by copyright. Instead, I’ve linked to a recording (accompanied by the lyrics) that apparently isn’t violating the copyright.
